good ol muar trip~
Monday, October 10th, 2005Its been ages since I last went back to Muar.
Not much changes after all, still the busy little town.
The pic below is my house in muar (FYI : its built by my grandfather himself almost 50 years ago - i think its sweet =))
Think i went back more of a feast than any other things!
Cos food there is nice and cheap!
Day 1
Manage to have dinner with mum and sis at a restaurant famous for its Thai Steam fish.
Sorry guys, no pics taken for this dinner.
Forgotten about it….
Had Steam fish, deep-fried "kangkung", fried kailan and a yam thingy.
not that nice anymore the food there..
Day 2
Started off the day with "full-of-bread" breakfast.
This is one of the stall that i frequent to satisfy my "roti bakar" cravings
Had the usual "teh-si", toasted bun spread with "kaya-butter", steam bun spread with "kaya-butter", steam white bread spread with "kaya-butter" and half boiled egg. was very full after that…nutritious? ahhaha..
some pics as usual… =)
* muar’s white bread is manufacture locally with no preservative added.
After all the stuffing of bread, had lunch in one of the olden-style coffee shop.
They are famous for the chicken chop. And the price is cheap.
For a chicken chop served with mix-vege, fries and egg, i think its pretty cheap.
I think its only like RM6???
And tried the indian fried mee, not bad..i should say quite nice.. =)
If u were to see below, they are still using the olden "guiness" glass.
Kind of special ain’t it?
After that went to Malacca to have steamboat buffet.
Phew, its all about eat eat eat….
Went to this shop where i use to go during my uni-life in Malacca.
Its call "carry-on". I bet all MMU ppl should know where is it…
For a price of RM14.80 (if i am not wrong), eat all you can…
yes, the price includes drinks as well….
Oh, its a grill-steamboat..that means u can grill at the side..
look pics below and you will know…
(yeah , that’s me after the steamboat..feeling hot and flushing red!)
After Malacca trip, went to Pelangi Hotel to have some mild drinks…
Had banana split and caramel pudding ( this sucks, cos the caramel was missing in action)
Usual Heineken…
Day 3
This time set to go back to KL…. i think i miss KL more… =)
Had some "mee-pok" in Muar… I think they call it "chou-mien" - Cantonese in KL
The mee is not that bad, except that I got soem slight sore throat that i have to make-do with the mee without chilli.
The one with chilli is simply yummy….
After all the sinful feasting, its time to head back to my small little box in KL…
Till next time
Cheers to Muar foodssssSSSssss
